1 .Qualifying Persons
1.1 The competition is open to residents of Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
1.2 Entries are exempt for the following
(a) Employees of Irish king competitions and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
(b) Members of family who are directly related to employees of Irish king competitions.
2. The Competition
2.1 All competitions are skill-based competitions and an entry fee is payable each time you enter. However, there is a free entry route and further details of this are included in clause 3.4 below.
2.2 By entering any competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2.3 Multiple entries from the same person are accepted.
2.4 There is a maximum amount of tickets for each draw. No more tickets will be sold after the date and time of draw unless stated otherwise.
3. How to play
3.1 Simply go to our website www.irishkingcompetitons.com and pick the competition you want to enter, choose how many tickets you want to purchase.
3.2 Answer a specific question with 3 answers and review and complete payment.
3.3 Entries are limited to 50 tickets per person per competition (subject to availability).
3.4 A free entry route is available by entering the competitions in the following way:
(a) go to the Website and select the competition you wish to enter to view the Competition Question;
(b) send an unenclosed postcard to our registered business address containing the following information:
(i) The competition you wish to enter;
(ii) Your full name and postal address;
(iii) Telephone number and email address;
(iv) Your date of birth;
(v) Your answer to the Competition Question.
4.1 When the timer runs out in a competition, the draw goes ahead regardless of sellout.
4.2 All the entries will be given a draw number which will be posted on a entry list on our Facebook page and different draw numbers if more than one ticket is purchased.
4.3 The winner will picked using google random number generator which will be shown on a live draw for each competition when all tickets are sold which will be posted on our Facebook page. We will post the draw date and time on our social media 24 hours before each draw.
4.4 The order number received in the email confirming purchase is not the number allocated to you for the draw, the number allocated to you will be posted on Facebook before the live draw takes place.
4.5 There is no extensions in the competitions, the draws goes ahead on the date indicated or the draw will go ahead earlier if sold out before the timer runs out.
5. General
5.1 The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
5.2 The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
5.3 The promoter hold no responsibility for the prizes once the winner receives the prize.
5.4 Winners will be chosen at random by google random number generator.
5.5 The winner will be notified by email and phone within 24 hours after live draw has taken place. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner.
5.6 The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected or delivered at a additional cost.
5.7 The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.8 By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5.9 The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
5.10 The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Irish data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
5.11 Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
5.12 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Irish King competitions and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.
5.13 Irish king competitions have the right the disqualify any the person who is abusive towards our staff on social media or any reason where the person is breaching the terms and conditions stated and will not be refunded.
5.14 No refunds of the entry fee will be given in any event, including;
(a) if, following your entry into the competition, you subsequently find out that you are not eligible to enter the competition or claim the Prize;
(b) if, following your entry into the competition the eligibility criteria for entering the competition or claiming the Prize changes and you are no longer eligible; or
(c) if you are disqualified from the competition by the Promoter for any reason.
(d) If you decide to be removed from the competition on your own behalf.
6. The prize
6.1 The Prizes are determined, selected by directors and promoter of Irish king competitions and are owned by the Promoter from the date of the Competition going live on the Website to the date that the Winner receives the Prize.
6.2 Details of each Prize can be found on the Website on the Competitions pages. Irish king competitions take no responsibility for the Prize awarded after delivery has taken place.
6.3 Once the Winner receives the Prize, the Promoter does not insure the Prize. No insurance comes with the Prizes and the Promoter is not responsible for the Prize once it has been handed over to the Winner.
6.4 All motor prizes like cars,motorbikes,quads or anything that drives must be collected at our registered office or can be delivered at a additional cost.
6.5 All smaller prizes like phones,tv’s etc anything that can be manually handled can be delivered by registered post at the winners expensive or can collected in person at our registered office.
6.6 All prizes must be accepted for what they are and non transferable and no cash alternative is granted and prize is not negotiable.
6.7 There is no minimum ticket sales for a draw to take place, every draw has a timer and draw date , draws go ahead regardless of sell out.
7. Winners
7.1 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7.2 The winner will be notified by email and phone that was provided when entering each competition within 24 hours after the live draw has taken place. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner.
7.3 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners to anyone who writes to the registered address of irish king competitions.
7.4 If you object to your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at irishkingcompetitions@gmail.com prior to the Closing Date. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
8. Claiming the prize
8.1 You must claim the Prize personally. The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. Details of how the Prize will be made available for collection, will be communicated by the Promoter to the Winner via the email address and/or phone number provided by the Winner at the time of entry.
8.2 If your personal details, including contact information, changes at any time you should notify the Promoter as soon as reasonably possible. Notifications should be sent to the Promoter via email to irishkingcompetitions@gmail.com Notifications must include details of the competition you have entered, your old details and your new details. If your details change within 2 days of the Closing Date, the Promoter will use your old details if it needs to try to contact you.
8.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility and is not liable to pay any compensation if you are unable to or do not take up the prize.
8.4 Prizes that are being claimed by collection at our registered office must show a passport or drivers licence to prove you are the person that won the prize provided the details match your details given when entering each competition.
8.5 Prizes being delivered to a winner must send a photo of there passport or driver licence to irishkingcompetitions@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving a phone call or email that they have won the prize.
9. Limitation of liability
In the extent as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. Data protection and publicity
10.1 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition or as otherwise set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on the Website.
10.2 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
10.3 If you do not wish to participate in any publicity, you must notify the Promoter prior to the Closing Date. This will not affect your chances of winning the Prize. If you do not agree to participate in any publicity about the competition we may still provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority. This is a legal requirement that we must comply with to prove that the competition has been properly administered and the Prize awarded.
10.4 If you are the winner of the competition, you may be required to provide further personal information and proof of your identity in order to confirm your eligibility to claim the Prize and transfer ownership of the Prize to you. You consent to the use of your information in this way. You are entitled to request further details about how your personal information is being used. You may also withdraw your consent to your personal information being used in such way but by doing so you may prevent the Prize being transferred to you. In such circumstances, you will be deemed to have withdrawn from the competition and forfeit the Prize. You will not be entitled to any refund of your entry fee. The Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
10.5 Please note that under data protection laws you are entitled to request that the Promoter does not contact you and removes your details from its database. If you make such a request you will be withdrawing from the competition as it will not be possible to contact you in the event that you are the winner. You will not be entitled to any refund of any entry fee if you withdraw from the competition. If you do not wish any of your personal details to be used by the Promoter for promotional purposes, please email the Promoter at irishkingcompetitions@gmail.com prior to the Closing Date.
10.6 By entering the competition, you agree that your order number, name and entry number(s) will be displayed on our social media platforms and or our website.
Irish King competitions shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this web page .Irish King competitions also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control in which a refund will to given to each person who entered the competition.
